153Sm-DTPA-OC125 F(ab')2 is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody fragment designed for targeted radioimmunotherapy. It consists of the F(ab')2 fragment of the OC125 monoclonal antibody, which recognizes the CA125 antigen commonly expressed in ovarian adenocarcinoma, conjugated via diethylenetriamine penta-acetic acid (DTPA) to the beta- and gamma-emitting radionuclide samarium-153 (153Sm)[1]. The aim is to selectively deliver localized radiation to CA125-positive tumor cells[1]. This approach allows targeted cytotoxicity via radiation while minimizing exposure to healthy tissues. The agent has been studied in preclinical models of ovarian cancer for pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, and tumor-targeting efficacy[1]. The full-length antibody, OC125, targets the CA125 antigen, and the F(ab')2 fragment reduces non-specific binding to normal tissues and may improve tumor penetration.
