Drug intelligence / Profile preview
2'-O-fucosyllactose + Humiome Post LB is a combination dietary supplement being evaluated for the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and associated gastrointestinal symptoms. The formulation consists of 2'-O-fucosyllactose (2'-FL), a human milk oligosaccharide (HMO) that acts as a prebiotic, and Humiome Post LB, a heat-treated postbiotic containing inactivated strains of Limosilactobacillus fermentum (CNCM I-2998) and Lactobacillus delbrueckii (CNCM I-4831). Developed by DSM Nutritional Products and distributed by Stratum Nutrition, the combination aims to modulate the gut microbiota and improve gut barrier function to alleviate abdominal pain, bloating, and bowel irregularities. It is currently undergoing clinical testing in various dosage ratios to determine its efficacy in IBS patients.
