211At-MX35 F(ab')2 is a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody fragment designed for targeted alpha-particle therapy, specifically for ovarian cancer. It comprises the murine IgG1-class monoclonal antibody MX35 (fragment F(ab')2), which binds to a cell-surface glycoprotein (95 kDa) that is highly expressed in approximately 90% of human epithelial ovarian cancers (OVCAR-3 cells). The antibody is labeled with astatine-211 (^211At), an alpha-emitting radionuclide, which enables localized delivery of cytotoxic radiation to microscopic tumor clusters while minimizing exposure to healthy tissue. The drug is administered intraperitoneally, allowing direct contact with residual cancer cells after chemotherapy. Developed at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, its clinical application is currently under investigation in open clinical trials in Denmark and Sweden, mainly focusing on safety, pharmacokinetics, and toxicity in relapsed or recurrent ovarian cancer[1][2][3][4][5].
