Drug intelligence / Profile preview
3'-Uridinemonophosphate (3'-UMP) is an experimental small molecule compound and a ribonucleoside 3'-phosphate. It is a structural isomer of the more common 5'-uridinemonophosphate, characterized by a phosphate group esterified to the C-3' position of the ribose sugar. While it occurs naturally as a product of RNA degradation by certain ribonucleases, it has no approved therapeutic uses and is not currently associated with any clinical trials or pharmaceutical development programs. It is primarily utilized as a biochemical research reagent and a reference standard in analytical chemistry.
