3,4,5-trimethoxyamphetamine

3,4,5-Trimethoxyamphetamine (TMA) is a synthetic psychedelic and hallucinogenic compound belonging to the amphetamine class. It acts primarily as a serotonergic psychedelic with modest agonist activity at serotonin receptors such as 5-HT2A and 5-HT2C. TMA produces hallucinogenic effects at doses of approximately 100–250 mg with a duration of action lasting about 6–8 hours. It is structurally related to mescaline but is more potent by weight and has a shorter duration of action. TMA has appeared on the illicit drug market and is classified as a Schedule I controlled substance in the United States[1][2][6][8].
