Drug intelligence / Profile preview
COMPOUND 5D, chemically known as 3-(1-(4-bromophenyl)-5-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)pyridine, is a synthetic pyrazole derivative. It has demonstrated significant cytotoxicity against mammary carcinoma cells. Its mechanism of action involves binding to the ligand binding domain of estrogen receptor alpha (ER-α) and reducing ER-α expression in tumor cells, thereby acting as an ER-α antagonist. This antagonistic effect contributes to its potent inhibitory activity against mammary carcinoma cells.
