Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**3Mixtatin** is an investigational, locally compounded endodontic paste used in pulp therapy of primary molars. In the formulation used in the Cairo University clinical-trial context, it combines the antibacterial agents **cefixime, ciprofloxacin, and metronidazole** with **simvastatin**. The antibiotics are intended to sterilize infected pulp and root-canal tissues, while simvastatin is included for anti-inflammatory and putative bioinductive or hard-tissue regenerative effects. It is applied directly to the pulp or root-canal space during procedures such as pulpotomy or lesion sterilization and tissue repair for pediatric primary teeth.
