4'-fluorocannabidiol

4'-fluorocannabidiol is a fluorinated derivative of cannabidiol, structurally related to CBD but with a fluorine atom at the 4' position of the aromatic ring. It was first synthesized in 2016. Preclinical studies in mice have shown that 4'-fluorocannabidiol is considerably more potent than CBD, demonstrating increased anxiolytic, antidepressant, antipsychotic, and anti-compulsive activities. In anti-cancer research, 4'-fluorocannabidiol exhibited efficacy against glioblastoma cells, overcoming resistance mechanisms seen with standard treatment, and synergized with certain chemotherapeutics. The compound’s pharmacological effects are believed to be mediated via the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, as with CBD, although modulation of additional pathways is possible[1][5][7].
