Overview

A synthetic small molecule with the chemical formula C8H5Cl2N3S and a molecular weight of approximately 246.1 Da. It is an experimental compound identified as a potent inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (CDK2), a serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in cell cycle regulation. Structural studies have shown that this molecule binds to the ATP-binding site of CDK2 and can induce conformational changes in the activation loop of the enzyme. The compound was discovered through structure-based virtual screening and has been used as a lead for developing antiproliferative agents targeting CDKs[1][6][7]. There are no approved indications or clinical trials reported for this compound.
