Overview

This compound is a synthetic small molecule belonging to the benzanilide class. It has been studied as an experimental agent and is not approved for clinical use in any country. The primary known mechanism of action is inhibition of urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA), a serine protease involved in the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin and implicated in processes such as fibrinolysis and tumor metastasis. The compound has demonstrated inhibitory activity against uPA with an IC50 value of approximately 520 nM[6][7]. No approved indications or marketed formulations are available for this molecule.
