This is a combination of two chemotherapeutic agents, 5-fluorouracil and bortezomib. - **5-Fluorouracil** is an antimetabolite that inhibits thymidylate synthase, disrupting DNA synthesis and leading to cell death in rapidly dividing cells. - **Bortezomib** is a reversible inhibitor of the 26S proteasome, blocking protein degradation pathways and inducing apoptosis in cancer cells by affecting multiple signaling cascades including NF-κB inhibition.
