Overview
A combination chemotherapy and targeted therapy regimen consisting of five chemotherapeutic agents (5-fluorouracil, capecitabine, cyclophosphamide, docetaxel, and epirubicin) plus trastuzumab, a HER2-targeted monoclonal antibody. This regimen is used primarily for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. Trastuzumab works by binding to the HER2 receptor on cancer cells, preventing cell growth and division, while the chemotherapy agents target rapidly dividing cells through various mechanisms.
