Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A triple antiemetic regimen consisting of a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, olanzapine, and dexamethasone. This combination is used for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) in patients receiving high or moderately emetogenic chemotherapy. The regimen works through multiple pathways: 5-HT3 receptor antagonists block serotonin receptors, olanzapine blocks multiple neurotransmitter receptors (dopamine, serotonin, adrenergic, and histamine), and dexamethasone provides anti-inflammatory effects.
