5-imino-4-(2-trifluoromethyl-phenylazo)-5H-pyrazol-3-ylamine is an experimental small molecule inhibitor of methionine aminopeptidase. It has been studied primarily in biochemical and structural biology contexts as a potent inhibitor of bacterial methionine aminopeptidases, with reported IC50 values in the nanomolar range for Escherichia coli enzyme. The compound is not approved for clinical use and is mainly used as a research tool to study protein processing enzymes[1][6][10].
