Drug intelligence / Profile preview
52Mn(PC2ABnAM-EA-MAL-Cys-HER2) is a radiolabeled anti-HER2 affibody conjugate developed for positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of HER2-positive tumors. It consists of an anti-HER2 affibody (a small engineered scaffold protein with high affinity for HER2) conjugated via a cysteine residue to a pyclen-based bifunctional chelator (PC2ABnAM-EA-MAL) and labeled with the positron-emitting isotope manganese-52 (52Mn). The long half-life of 52Mn (5.59 days) makes it suitable for extended-time-point PET imaging. Preclinical studies in mouse models bearing HER2-positive xenografts have demonstrated its potential as a targeted molecular imaging probe, although it exhibits significant accumulation in the kidneys.
