6-(methylsulfinyl)hexyl isothiocyanate (6-MITC) is a bioactive small molecule isothiocyanate derived from the wasabi plant (*Eutrema japonicum*). It is recognized for its potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-tumor properties. In preclinical oncology models, 6-MITC has demonstrated the ability to suppress the proliferation of various cancer cell lines, including endometrial carcinoma, by inducing apoptosis through the activation of cleaved-caspase 3 and the downregulation of BCL2. Furthermore, 6-MITC has been shown to enhance natural killer (NK) cell activity and increase the sensitivity of tumor cells to chemotherapeutic agents such as cisplatin.
