Overview

**62Cu-NOTA-GGG-Re(Arg11)CCMSH** is a radiolabeled peptide-based imaging agent designed for the selective targeting and positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of melanoma. It utilizes the bifunctional chelator NOTA to anchor the radionuclide copper-62 (62Cu), with a GGG spacer and a cyclized melanotropin analogue (Re(Arg11)CCMSH) that is engineered for high-affinity binding to the melanocortin-1 receptor (MC1-R), overexpressed in melanoma cells. The drug is prepared in a rapid one-step synthesis, exhibits high specific activity, and demonstrates selective and rapid tumor uptake in preclinical models. This compound specifically enables visualization of melanoma tumors in vivo using PET, supporting both diagnostic and potential therapeutic applications based on radiolabeled peptide performance[1][2].
