A radiolabeled homodimeric peptide tracer designed for positron emission tomography (PET), 68GA-NOTA-E(PEG4-TMVP1)2 consists of two TMVP1 peptides conjugated via a tetraethyleneglycol (PEG4) linker and chelated with NOTA to gallium-68. TMVP1 is a peptide that binds specifically to vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 (VEGFR-3), which is highly expressed in tumor lymphangiogenesis and certain cancers. The radiotracer demonstrates high affinity for VEGFR-3, rapid renal excretion, high tumor uptake, and favorable safety in both healthy volunteers and cancer patients. It has been evaluated primarily for imaging VEGFR-3 expression in cervical cancer but also investigated in ovarian, breast, and lung cancers[1][2][7].
