This is a combination of two medications used for treating various skin conditions. 8-methoxypsoralen (8-MOP) is a naturally occurring photoactive substance found in the seeds of the Ammi majus plant and in the roots of Heraclem Candicans. It belongs to a group of compounds known as psoralens or furocoumarins and is used in combination with UVA light therapy (PUVA therapy) to treat severe psoriasis, vitiligo, and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Triamcinolone acetonide is a topical corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and itching in various skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. The combination may be used for treatment of inflammatory skin conditions that are resistant to individual therapies.
