Overview

**89Zr-αGPC3-F(ab')2** is a radiolabeled antibody fragment designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). It consists of the F(ab')2 fragment of a monoclonal antibody targeting glypican-3 (GPC3), a cell surface proteoglycan overexpressed in HCC, conjugated to the positron-emitting radionuclide zirconium-89 (^89Zr). This agent provides rapid blood clearance, low background liver uptake, and high tumor-to-liver contrast early after injection, addressing major drawbacks of full-length antibody radiotracers. The intended use is for sensitive and specific intrahepatic tumor localization and imaging of GPC3-positive HCC in preclinical models, supporting further development toward clinical diagnostics. The probe binds specifically to GPC3-expressing tumor cells and offers improved imaging kinetics over intact antibody PET probes[1][3][5][6].
