Drug intelligence / Profile preview
9-Butyl-8-(3-methoxybenzyl)-9H-purin-6-amine is an experimental small molecule belonging to the class of 6-aminopurines. It acts as an inhibitor of heat shock protein HSP 90-alpha (HSP90AA1), a molecular chaperone involved in the folding and stabilization of various client proteins critical for cell survival and proliferation. By inhibiting HSP90-alpha, this compound may disrupt multiple signaling pathways relevant to cancer and other diseases characterized by aberrant protein homeostasis. The compound has not been approved for clinical use or advanced beyond preclinical/experimental stages[1][2][10].
