Drug intelligence / Profile preview
9-valent HPV vaccination at months 0, 1 and 6 refers to a three-dose immunization regimen of a recombinant 9-valent human papillomavirus (9vHPV) vaccine (such as Cecolin 9, developed by Xiamen Innovax and Wantai BioPharm) administered at months 0, 1, and 6. This specific regimen is being evaluated in clinical trials sponsored by the Jiangsu Province Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to assess the safety, immunogenicity, and memory B-cell response of sequential 9vHPV vaccination in healthy females aged 18–45 who have previously completed a bivalent HPV vaccine series. The vaccine consists of recombinant L1 capsid protein virus-like particles (VLPs) targeting nine HPV types (6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58) adsorbed onto an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant, designed to elicit protective neutralizing antibodies and prevent cervical cancer, genital warts, and other HPV-associated diseases.
