90Y-mCC49 + paclitaxel is a combination therapy consisting of a radiolabeled monoclonal antibody (90Y-mCC49) targeting tumor-associated glycoprotein-72 (TAG-72) and the chemotherapeutic agent paclitaxel. The 90Y-mCC49 component is a murine monoclonal antibody (mCC49) labeled with yttrium-90, a radioactive isotope that delivers targeted radiation to cancer cells expressing TAG-72. Paclitaxel is a taxane that stabilizes microtubules, preventing cell division and causing cancer cell death. In clinical studies, this combination was administered with interferon alpha2beta (IFN) for TAG-72 up-regulation, with paclitaxel serving as a radiosensitizer to potentially enhance the effectiveness of the radioimmunotherapy.
