Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AB122 + TAS-116 is a combination therapy being investigated for advanced solid tumors. **AB122** is an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody (checkpoint inhibitor) that blocks the interaction of programmed death-1 (PD-1) on immune cells with its ligands, thereby promoting T-cell-mediated immune responses against tumor cells. **TAS-116** (generic name: Pimitespib) is a highly selective, orally available heat shock protein 90 (HSP90) inhibitor. HSP90 is a molecular chaperone critical for the stability and function of various oncogenic client proteins, and its inhibition leads to destabilization of these proteins and inhibition of tumor growth. The combination of these agents aims to synergistically enhance anti-tumor immune response and impair tumor cell survival pathways. Primary indications under study include various advanced solid tumors such as colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and others[4][5][9].
