Overview

ABBV-011 + budigalimab is a **combination therapy** under investigation for the treatment of relapsed or refractory small cell lung cancer (SCLC). ABBV-011 is a **SEZ6-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC)** consisting of a monoclonal antibody targeting the seizure-related homolog 6 protein (SEZ6) linked to a calicheamicin cytotoxic payload, designed to deliver targeted cytotoxicity to SEZ6-positive cancer cells. Budigalimab (ABBV-181) is a **monoclonal antibody that inhibits programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)**, serving as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance antitumor immune responses. The combination aims to leverage direct tumor cell killing via the ADC and immune activation through checkpoint inhibition. Currently, this combination is being evaluated in phase 1 clinical trials primarily in SCLC[1][3][5][6].
