Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ABBV-637 + docetaxel is an investigational combination therapy for the treatment of solid tumors, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ABBV-637 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by AbbVie that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) on tumor cells and delivers a cytotoxic payload that inhibits Bcl-X protein, promoting apoptosis in cancer cells. Docetaxel is a well-established chemotherapeutic agent classified as a taxane, which disrupts microtubule function and inhibits cell division. The combination aims to leverage targeted delivery of cytotoxic agents via EGFR binding with ABBV-637 while enhancing antitumor activity through the addition of docetaxel’s broad cytotoxic effects. This regimen is currently being evaluated in phase 1 clinical trials for relapsed or refractory solid tumors[1][2][4][6].
