Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of abemaciclib (a CDK4/6 inhibitor), fulvestrant (an estrogen receptor antagonist), and trastuzumab (a HER2-targeted monoclonal antibody). This regimen is used primarily for the treatment of hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-positive advanced breast cancer in patients who have received prior treatments. The combination works through multiple mechanisms: abemaciclib inhibits cell cycle progression by targeting CDK4/6, fulvestrant blocks estrogen receptor signaling, and trastuzumab targets HER2 receptors on cancer cells.
