Abilita Therapeutics is developing a small molecule targeting G protein-coupled receptor class C group 5 member D (GPRC5D) for the treatment of multiple myeloma. GPRC5D is a type 3 orphan GPCR that is highly and specifically expressed on the surface of malignant plasma cells, making it a validated and promising target for multiple myeloma therapies. This program is currently in the discovery and lead optimization stage and utilizes Abilita's proprietary technology to target specific epitopes, referred to as HHE (Humanized High-affinity Epitopes). The small molecule is designed to selectively bind and modulate GPRC5D to induce anti-tumor effects in patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. This asset is part of a broader GPRC5D-focused portfolio at Abilita, which also includes antibody and antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) programs.
