Overview

ABT-165 + FOLFIRI is a combination regimen comprised of ABT-165 (also known as dilpacimab), a dual-variable domain immunoglobulin monoclonal antibody targeting both delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and the standard chemotherapy regimen FOLFIRI, which includes folinic acid (leucovorin), fluorouracil (5-FU), and irinotecan. ABT-165 inhibits the DLL4/Notch and VEGF pathways to block tumor angiogenesis and growth, while FOLFIRI works by disrupting DNA synthesis and cell division in rapidly proliferating cancer cells. This drug combination has been studied primarily for metastatic colorectal cancer and is being investigated in advanced solid tumors and other cancers sensitive to anti-angiogenic and cytotoxic chemotherapy[1][2][3][5].
