Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aceboat Dr is a fixed-dose combination pharmaceutical product containing aceclofenac and drotaverine hydrochloride, developed by Zeebharat Med Private Limited. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that primarily acts by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate pain and inflammation. Drotaverine is an antispasmodic agent that functions as a selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4), leading to increased intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) and subsequent relaxation of smooth muscle. This combination is typically indicated for the symptomatic relief of spasmodic pain associated with conditions such as abdominal cramps, dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain), and biliary or renal colic.
