Nanofen MR is a fixed-dose combination pharmaceutical product developed by Achilles Healthcare, consisting of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) aceclofenac and the muscle relaxant thiocolchicoside. Aceclofenac is a phenylacetic acid derivative that exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzymes COX-1 and COX-2, thereby reducing the synthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins. Thiocolchicoside is a semi-synthetic sulfur derivative of colchicoside that functions as a muscle relaxant; its mechanism involves competitive antagonism at GABA-A receptors and glycine receptors in the central nervous system.
