Overview

Combination analgesic therapy consisting of three agents targeting mild-to-severe pain management via distinct mechanisms. Acetaminophen acts primarily through central nervous system pathways likely involving modulation at cyclooxygenase/prostanoid signaling centers resulting in antipyretic/analgesic effects without significant anti-inflammatory activity compared with traditional NSAIDs such as ketoprofen, which inhibit peripheral cyclooxygenases thereby reducing local inflammatory mediators responsible for tissue swelling/pain signals while also contributing systemic analgesia. Morphine's primary mode-of-action involves binding selectively onto mu-opioid receptors located throughout brain/spinal cord regions associated with nociceptive processing, thus producing profound suppression over subjective perception regarding painful stimuli. Used together they provide multimodal analgesia which can reduce total opioid requirement.
