Overview

This is a pre-medication regimen administered 1-3 hours before the subcutaneous injection of daratumumab and hyaluronidase-fihj (Darzalex Faspro) to reduce the risk of infusion-related reactions (IRRs). The regimen consists of an analgesic/antipyretic (acetaminophen), an H1-receptor antagonist (diphenhydramine), a leukotriene receptor antagonist (montelukast), and a corticosteroid (methylprednisolone). This specific combination is utilized in a Phase 2 clinical trial conducted by NYU Langone Health for patients with STK11/LKB1 mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The components work synergistically to mitigate hypersensitivity and inflammatory responses triggered by the monoclonal antibody therapy.
