Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nephroheal Forte is a fixed-dose combination of acetylcysteine (300 mg) and pyridoxamine dihydrochloride (50 mg), developed by Primus Remedies for the management of chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly diabetic nephropathy. Acetylcysteine is a precursor to the endogenous antioxidant glutathione, which helps neutralize free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, and protect renal tissues from cellular damage. Pyridoxamine, a bioactive form of vitamin B6, acts as an inhibitor of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) and advanced lipoxidation end-products (ALEs) by chelating catalytic transition metals and trapping reactive carbonyl species. Together, these components work synergistically to slow the progression of kidney damage, support metabolic processes, and preserve renal function in patients with CKD.
