Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Actazin + PreticX is a patented dietary supplement combination developed by AIDP, Inc., designed to support digestive health and gut microbiota modulation. The formulation combines Actazin, a cold-pressed green or gold kiwifruit extract from New Zealand that is rich in the proteolytic enzyme actinidin, with PreticX, a xylooligosaccharide (XOS) prebiotic. The combination works synergistically to improve bowel regularity and alleviate functional constipation by selectively promoting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, such as Bifidobacteria, and aiding in protein digestion. Clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy in increasing complete spontaneous bowel movements in healthy adults, making it a non-pharmaceutical option for managing occasional gastrointestinal discomfort.
