Overview

AD-209-1C is a specific dose variant of the AD-209 triple combination therapy developed by Addpharma Inc. for the treatment of essential hypertension. It is a fixed-dose combination containing three active ingredients: amlodipine (a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker), telmisartan (an angiotensin II receptor blocker), and chlorthalidone (a thiazide-like diuretic). Classified as an incrementally modified drug (IMD) in South Korea, AD-209-1C is designed to provide comprehensive blood pressure control by targeting multiple physiological pathways simultaneously. The drug is administered orally as a film-coated tablet. Following the completion of Phase 2 clinical trials, the AD-209 program has progressed into Phase 3 development for patients with essential hypertension who require intensive blood pressure management.
