Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**AD-2281 + AD-2282** is an investigational combination therapy comprising two small molecule drugs, AD-2281 and AD-2282, developed by Addpharma for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia. The combination is currently being evaluated in a phase 3 randomized, double-blind, active-controlled clinical trial to determine efficacy and safety in reducing LDL-C (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol) in adults with primary hypercholesterolemia. Both drugs are administered orally, once daily, for 8 weeks. Detailed mechanisms of action for AD-2281 and AD-2282 have not been publicly disclosed, but the combination is specifically targeted at lipid lowering for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia[1][3][7].
