Overview

AD109 + AD504 is a combination regimen being studied for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). **AD109** is a fixed-dose combination of aroxybutynin (a novel antimuscarinic agent) and atomoxetine (a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor), developed to activate upper airway dilator muscles and maintain airway patency during sleep. **AD504** is a combination of atomoxetine and trazodone (a serotonin antagonist and reuptake inhibitor with sedative properties). The combination of AD109 and AD504 is under investigation in clinical trials to assess differing efficacy and mechanisms in improving OSA by targeting neuromuscular airway tone (AD109) and sleep architecture (AD504)[13][14].
