Adductor Canal Block + iPACK Block is a combination regional anesthesia technique used for the management of postoperative pain, particularly following knee surgeries such as ACL reconstruction. The Adductor Canal Block (ACB) is a sensory-dominant nerve block that targets the saphenous nerve and the nerve to the vastus medialis within the adductor canal, providing analgesia to the anterior knee while minimizing motor blockade of the quadriceps. The iPACK (Infiltration between the Popliteal Artery and Capsule of the Knee) block involves the injection of local anesthetic into the posterior space of the knee to target the terminal branches of the obturator and sciatic nerves, providing analgesia to the posterior knee. This combination aims to provide comprehensive pain relief and reduce opioid consumption while facilitating early physical therapy and mobilization.
