Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Adebrelimab + capecitabine is an investigational combination therapy consisting of two agents used in oncology. Adebrelimab is a monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), functioning as an immune checkpoint inhibitor to enhance anti-tumor immune responses. Capecitabine is an oral prodrug of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), classified as a fluoropyrimidine antimetabolite that interferes with DNA synthesis and inhibits cancer cell proliferation. Capecitabine is approved for use in various cancers, including colorectal, breast, gastric, esophageal, gastroesophageal junction, and pancreatic cancers[1][2][3][4][5]. The combination aims to leverage the immunomodulatory effects of adebrelimab with the cytotoxic activity of capecitabine for enhanced anti-cancer efficacy.
