Adenosine + cobalamin is a combination of two distinct bioactive molecules. Adenosine is a purine nucleoside involved in energy transfer (as ATP and ADP) and signal transduction via activation of specific adenosine receptors. It is used clinically as an antiarrhythmic agent for the acute treatment of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia due to its ability to slow conduction through the atrioventricular node by agonizing A1, A2a, A2b, and A3 adenosine receptors[7]. Cobalamin refers to vitamin B12 compounds; its active forms include methylcobalamin (cytosolic) and adenosylcobalamin (mitochondrial), both essential for DNA synthesis, red blood cell formation, myelin synthesis in the nervous system, fatty acid metabolism, and amino acid metabolism[1][3][5]. Combination products containing both active forms of B12 are marketed as dietary supplements for optimal coverage of cellular metabolic needs[4][6][8]. There is no evidence that "adenosine + cobalamin" exists as a single pharmaceutical product or has unique clinical indications beyond those established for each component.
