Overview

AdimFlu-S is a seasonal trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (TIV) developed and manufactured by Adimmune Corporation. It is a split-virion vaccine produced in embryonated chicken eggs. The vaccine is designed to provide active immunization against influenza by targeting the hemagglutinin (HA) surface proteins of three specific influenza virus strains—typically two Influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and one Influenza B lineage—as recommended by the World Health Organization for the relevant flu season. The 2011-2012 formulation was specifically evaluated in clinical trials for safety and immunogenicity in both non-elderly (18-60 years) and elderly populations. Adimmune Corporation, based in Taiwan, is a significant regional manufacturer and holds both EU GMP and US FDA certifications for its influenza vaccine production.
