Overview

Adipose-derived stem cells (ADSC) are a type of mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) developed by Pell Bio-Med Technology for use in regenerative medicine and cell therapy. These cells are harvested from adipose tissue and possess multipotent differentiation potential, allowing them to develop into various cell types such as chondrocytes, osteoblasts, and adipocytes. Beyond their differentiation capacity, ADSCs function by secreting a variety of paracrine factors, including growth factors and cytokines, which promote tissue repair, stimulate angiogenesis, and modulate immune responses to reduce inflammation. Pell Bio-Med Technology lists ADSCs as part of its commercial product portfolio, where they are typically applied in clinical settings for indications such as osteoarthritis, chronic wound healing, and soft tissue regeneration, often within the regulatory framework of Taiwan's 'Special Act' for cell therapies.
