Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ADXS11-001 + pemetrexed is an investigational combination therapy consisting of ADXS11-001 (axalimogene filolisbac), a live attenuated Listeria monocytogenes engineered to express a fusion protein (Listeriolysin O and HPV-16 E7) designed to stimulate an immune response against HPV-expressing tumor cells, and pemetrexed, a folate antimetabolite that inhibits several key enzymes involved in folate metabolism and DNA synthesis. The combination is studied as a cancer immunochemotherapy, primarily targeting tumors that are positive for HPV, such as cervical cancer, and may have application in other cancers. ADXS11-001 is developed by Advaxis, while pemetrexed is manufactured by Eli Lilly and other companies[2][5].
