Afatinib + docetaxel is a **combination regimen** using the small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor afatinib, which irreversibly inhibits the ErbB family of receptors (including EGFR/HER1, HER2, and HER4), with docetaxel, a taxane chemotherapy that stabilizes microtubules to inhibit cell division.
