Overview

AFM24 + atezolizumab is a combination therapy consisting of AFM24, a tetravalent bispecific innate cell engager (ICE), and atezolizumab, a PD-L1 inhibitor. AFM24 is designed to engage natural killer cells and macrophages to target EGFR-expressing tumor cells, while atezolizumab blocks PD-L1 to enhance T-cell immune responses. This combination has shown promising clinical efficacy in heavily pretreated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients, including those resistant to prior checkpoint inhibitor therapy. The combination has demonstrated a manageable safety profile with infusion-related reactions being the most common adverse event.
