Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AFYX-006 + AFYX-007 is a combination chemotherapy product being developed by AFYX Therapeutics for the treatment of oral potentially malignant lesions (OPML) and head and neck cancer. The product utilizes the proprietary Rivelin patch technology, which is a flexible, biodegradable, mucoadhesive patch designed to deliver chemotherapeutic agents directly to premalignant or malignant lesions in the oral cavity. This localized delivery method is intended to maximize therapeutic efficacy at the site of the lesion while minimizing systemic exposure and associated side effects. AFYX-007 specifically is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for head and neck cancer.
