AK104 + docetaxel is a combination therapy comprising **cadonilimab (AK104)**, a bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting both **programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)** and **cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA-4)**, and **docetaxel**, a microtubule inhibitor within the taxane class of chemotherapeutic agents. Cadonilimab acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor, blocking PD-1 and CTLA-4 pathways to enhance T-cell-mediated antitumor immunity. Docetaxel disrupts microtubule function, leading to inhibition of cell division and apoptosis in proliferating cancer cells. The combination is under investigation in multiple cancer indications, including advanced non-small cell lung cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, and advanced ovarian cancer, as a strategy to improve anti-tumor response by leveraging synergistic effects between immune checkpoint blockade and cytotoxic chemotherapy[1][3][4][5][6].
