Overview
This is a **combination regimen** comprising AK105 (also known as penpulimab), carboplatin, and pemetrexed. AK105/penpulimab is a human IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting PD-1, designed with Fc mutations to eliminate Fc receptor and complement-mediated effector functions, thus preventing antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that causes DNA crosslinking and apoptosis, while pemetrexed is an antifolate that disrupts thymidylate synthesis, inhibiting DNA and RNA synthesis. This combination is under investigation as an antineoplastic regimen, particularly for solid tumors.
