Overview

AK112 + axitinib is an investigational combination therapy consisting of AK112, a novel bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting both programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and axitinib, a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively inhibits VEGF receptors. This combination is being studied for its potential to enhance antitumor immune responses while simultaneously inhibiting tumor angiogenesis. The primary indication under investigation is advanced or metastatic mucosal melanoma. In clinical trials, the regimen involves administering AK112 intravenously every three weeks in combination with oral axitinib taken twice daily[1][2][3].
